Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to open an XTEND Barre Franchise?

The cost of franchising depends on your preferred location. With all the variables it can be difficult to indicate an average or approximate cost. For a more accurate perspective, get in touch with our team today. Once you’ve got your figures in mind, we recommend you seek professional financial advice to discuss your options further.

Are there any finance options available?

We have ongoing relationships with various lenders, and are ready, willing and able to connect you for further conversations when you’re ready.

Do you provide training for franchisees?

Of course an integral part of our new partnerships process is attending a New Franchise Training session, covering all the ins and outs of operating a studio, giving you the key skills and knowledge you need to run your business smoothly. Start-up training is also provided by our software vendors as and when required.

How long is the application process?

Applications with XTEND Barre generally take 6-8 weeks, however this pace is dependent on all of our new business partners. We don’t rush through the process, and require all applicants to do their own due diligence. We’re growing our national community with franchisees who are passionate, engaged brand advocates, so it’s important for all parties that we’re on the same page.

Do I need to work in the business full time?

In our experience, a hands-on approach to running your business is the element that builds your community and member base, and in-turn builds the most profitable businesses. While not all of our franchise owners are instructors, another friendly face around the studio never hurt.

Do I need to be a fully qualified XTEND Barre instructor to own a franchise?

Not at all. There are two common profiles of an XTEND Barre owner: one is an investor with multi-sites, the other being an owner/operator model where the franchisee is also an instructor. Which one will you be?

Do I need prior experience in the dance or fitness industry?

No, as long as you have a passion for helping people, we’ll help you with the rest. Ideally you’ll have some experience in sales, hospitality or customer service – we’ll help you hire and train a qualified, knowledgeable team of professionals to manage and teach in your studio.

How long is an XTEND Barre Franchise Agreement?

The XTEND Barre Franchise Agreement is typically a 5 year term with a further 5 year option.

What ongoing support will I receive?

Our Performance Coach team are experienced in boutique studio management. Your dedicated Performance Coach will be on hand to support both in-person and via webinars and can assist with regular ad-hoc operational training covering sales, retention and marketing.

Do I need to find a location for my studio?

No. Our highly experienced Leasing team can source new studio locations and negotiate with landlords.

What if I want to own more than one studio?

Great! Let’s start with one. Once you have settled and are confident in running your studio we welcome the chance to discuss owning more XTEND Barre studios with you.
